2022 Fall Ball begins Saturday, September 17, and will run for six consecutive weeks on Saturdays through October 22.
Back-to-back doubleheader games will be played between 10 AM and 3 PM.
Games will be played at Watkins Regional Park (Upper Marlboro, MD) with some weekends at either Fairland Regional Park (Burtonsville, MD) or Tucker Road Athletic Complex (Fort Washington, MD). A full schedule with locations will be released later this summer.
DIVISIONS
There are two divisions offered:
Recreation Division
Meant for players who are new to softball, looking to develop/enhance skills, or enjoy a more social and less competitive environment.
Competitive Division
Meant for players who have played before and prefer a more competitive environment.
Players will be drafted to teams in their division of choice.
FEES
$30 before August 24
$45 after August 24
The registration fee comes with a t-shirt. You must register before August 24 to secure a guaranteed shirt size.
The Chesapeake & Potomac Softball League (CAPS) is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 to establish a friendly place for LGBTQ+ people and allies in the greater Washington/Maryland/Virginia metropolitan areas to play softball, learn and/or enhance softball skills and meet new people.
Our league offers two divisions. Our Open Division, a member of the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA), is made up of co-ed teams placed in divisions based on skill level. Our Women's + Division, a member of the Amateur Sports Alliance of North America (ASANA), is made up of Women's+ teams placed in two divisions of play (competitive and recreational).
In addition, CAPS is an active member of Team DC, which promotes LGBTQ+ individual and teams sports and club participation.
